Have you ever tried to catch a deluge in a paper cup? If so, how did it go?
Nope, but that’s probably because for the last 22 years, I’ve been trying to catch the DAMAGE in a paper cup. If I’d only had the internets when this song was released, I could’ve saved myself a lot of trouble.
Definitions of deluge on the Web:
* flood: an overwhelming number or amount; “a flood of requests”; “a torrent of abuse”
* fill quickly beyond capacity; as with a liquid; “the basement was inundated after the storm”; “The images flooded his mind”
* overwhelm: charge someone with too many tasks
* downpour: a heavy rain
For catching all of the above, I used a bucket!
Sounds like you’ve been through a lot!
I think I’d be ready to… er… kick the bucket after all that!
